Introduction :
In QEH, the home training session of the CAPD training program for the ESKD patient was suspended due to the social distancing policy during the COVID pandemic in 2019. To fill up the service gap by initiation the pilot program of tele-home-training sessions
Objectives :
A pilot tele-home-training program was launched in QEH T3 renal unit in April 2021 to deliver an optimal, seamless and constant nursing service under the new normal situation for ESKD patients who underwent CAPD.
Methodology :
A self-rating 5-point Likert scale satisfaction survey was conducted on every respondent after the training program.
Result & Outcome :
The response rate of the survey was 100%. The overall positive comments from the satisfaction survey ensured the hard evidence for its sustainability. The tele renal nurse service model was achievable and widely applicable to various nursing care.
Simultaneously, the official platform in the HAGO app was prevalent and ready for service migration.
As a result, the KCC renal unit service model for the tele renal nurse clinic had established to extend and befit the service needs in Dec 2022.
