Introduction :
Rehabilitation Day Hospital (RDH) provide training to older patients with chronic health condition and those with recent fragility fractures. It is crucial to provide prompt and safe training to them even in COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, social distancing, perform hand hygiene and wear mask properly should be adopted vigilantly to minimize the risk of getting infection. However, the compliance of properly wearing mask is a big challenge for elderly attendants. Therefore, we conducted this program to promote the attendants and staff safety.
Objectives :
1. To help elderly attendants to recognize the importance of proper mask wearing.
2. Ensure attendants wearing mask properly all time .
Methodology :
Inclusion criteria: All attendants in RDH
Pre and post questionnaires on knowledge of proper wearing of mask to attendant or carers.
Pre and post assessment on compliance of wearing mask properly to attendant.
Provide education with pamphlet and demonstration on wearing mask properly to attendants and careers

Result:
Total 58 attendants recruited, Age 60 - 85,
Post education on mask wearing tips, overall knowledge on proper mask wearing were increased rate from 36% to 100%. The number of elderly attendants wearing mask correctly and compliance rate increased from 20% to 90%. And they are willing to continue to wear mask properly and make it as a habit. They were more willing to comply with properly wearing a mask, performing hand hygiene and maintaining social distancing. They believed through these acts they were loving themselves and protecting others from COVID 19 and flu.
Conclusion:
RDH is effective to promote preventive measures to reduce the spread of disease. This scheme helps those in need and of high risk.
